Introduction:

The most important part of enterprise video content management is making sure you’ve got a good process and clear communication with your client. There’s not much more discouraging to your team than having to bounce the project back and forth with the client with more and more edits hoping they’ll finally approve it. It wastes you and your team’s time and money and can delay deadlines.

Video content production is already a long process to begin with, so it’s absolutely vital that your team and your client see eye-to-eye throughout the entire length of the project in order to avoid wasting time and money through miscommunication.

We created this checklist to help you streamline the video content management process. It lays out a common space that can be shared between your team members and client in order to better work together throughout the project’s progress.

It also acts as a place to keep all of the project information and progress, and utilizes automated Approvals tasks strategically placed throughout the process that allows for your client to quickly and easily approve (or deny) your team’s work and provide feedback after each stage of the project’s completion.

In addition, your client will feel greater satisfaction being kept in the loop during the entirety of the project and knowing his feedback is being put to use. And with a satisfied client comes a satisfied team because there would be far less chance that your client will demand any surprise, heavy edits at the end of the project that may result in overtime work and missed deadlines.

With this checklist, your team is sure to build stronger communication with your clients and streamline processes that otherwise may be taking up more time than they should.

So, let’s get started!

Information:

Record project details

To begin with, you’ll want to record some basic information about the video content project.

Use the form fields below to document relevant details of the work and individuals involved.

Since this process involves multiple individuals (content manager, video animator, etc.) you can make things easier for yourself by assigning roles.

Use the Members feature below to specify who will be doing what.

Preparation:
