Comment attachments let you easily share files and documents within your workflow runs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By uploading attachments directly into task comments<\/a>, you enhance communication and collaboration across your organization.<\/p>\n

You can also set up automations<\/a> to notify you when files are attached or to push those files to your preferred file storage app.<\/p>\n

How to add comment attachments<\/h2>\n

Start by opening the workflow run you want to comment on, click to select a task, then scroll to the bottom of that task.<\/p>\n

Here you will see the comments field. You can either drag and drop files into the comment box or click the “Paper Clip icon<\/strong>” and browse for files from your device. You can select multiple files at once \u2014 they upload in parallel.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Each file must be within the file upload limit<\/a>, but there is no limit on the number of files you can attach or store on your account.<\/p>\n

Automations<\/h2>\n

You can use comment attachments to trigger an automation. For example, when someone attaches a file to the comments, this automatically saves to a folder of your choice in Google Drive<\/a> or Dropbox<\/a> (or wherever you choose). Or perhaps you want an email notification each time a new file is attached to a workflow run? You can set up automations for most scenarios.<\/p>\n
