{"id":5732,"date":"2021-09-13T08:00:51","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T08:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/deleting-widgets\/"},"modified":"2026-04-09T09:20:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T09:20:52","slug":"deleting-widgets","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/deleting-widgets\/","title":{"rendered":"Deleting Content or Form Fields"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/template-gallery\/\">premade workflow template<\/a> or a workflow that you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/making-templates\/\">built from scratch<\/a>, there may be times when you need to change some of the content or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/form-fields\/\">form fields<\/a> inside it.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps your process has changed over time or one part of your process is no longer necessary, and you want to delete some of the details inside it.<\/p>\n<p>To delete a content widget or form field from a workflow, you first need to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/editing-workflows\/\">editing that workflow<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Users:<\/strong> To delete widgets from a workflow, you must be an Administrator or a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/what-is-a-full-member\/\">Builder<\/a> who has been given edit permission by your Administrator.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Start by finding the workflow in your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/library\/\">Library<\/a>, click the three dots next to its name (or click its name to open the right-hand menu).<\/p>\n<p>Next, click <strong>Edit<\/strong> and navigate to the task containing the widget you want to delete.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Hover over the content widget or form field you want to delete. A <strong>three-dot menu icon<\/strong> (\u22ef) appears at the top right of the widget.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>three-dot menu icon<\/strong> to open the widget menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Delete<\/strong> from the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11328\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Delete-widgets-new.gif\" alt=\"Deleting a content widget or form field from a workflow\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Repeat as many times as you need, for content widgets or form fields.<\/p>\n<p>When you have finished making edits, click <strong>Save changes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Delete a whole task with all its content<\/h2>\n<p>You can also delete a whole task and all the content and form fields within it.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Hover over the task name in the task list on the left.
