When you\u2019re editing a workflow<\/a>, there will be a time when you want to publish your changes, set it live and start using it with your team.<\/p>\n

You may have already run<\/a> this workflow, in which case you can choose to push the updates you just made to all your active workflow runs.\u00a0This is a great way to keep all of your workflow runs up to date, especially if you have lots of workflow runs already in progress.<\/p>\n

And if your workflow isn\u2019t quite perfect, don\u2019t worry you can iterate on it as much as you need, setting those updates live in your workflow runs as you go!<\/p>\n

Users: In order to publish workflows, you must be an Administrator or a Builder<\/a> who has been given\u00a0\u2018edit\u2019\u00a0access by your Administrator.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Update all in-progress workflow runs<\/h2>\n

Here\u2019s a quick summary of what will update your active workflow runs when you push changes to them all at once.<\/p>\n

Update each one manually<\/h2>\n

Alternatively, you can also choose to manually update your workflow runs on a need-to-update basis.<\/p>\n

You can also choose whether or not to alert your team to update the workflow runs to the latest version, as shown below.<\/p>\n

Track your update progress<\/h2>\n

When you update all active workflow runs at once, Process Street automatically generates a Run Update Report<\/strong>. The report shows the update status for each run \u2014 whether it\u2019s scheduled or finished \u2014 so you can confirm the batch completed successfully.<\/p>\n

To check progress:<\/p>\n

  1. Navigate to Reports<\/strong> after triggering the update.<\/li>\n
  2. Open the Run Update Report<\/strong> for your workflow.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Refresh<\/strong> to see the latest status. There\u2019s a 5-second cooldown between refreshes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
