If you can\u2019t see a user when you try to assign them to a task<\/a> in a workflow, this could be for a number of reasons.<\/p>\n

Users: Only Admins or Builders with \u201cedit<\/a>\u201d permissions can pre-assign users to tasks in workflows.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Have they confirmed their email address?<\/h2>\n

If a Builder<\/a> has been recently invited<\/a> to your organization, check if they have accepted your invite.<\/p>\n

On your Users & Guests<\/a> page, if their invite still says \u201cPending\u201d, they may not have received your email, or it may have gone to their spam folder.<\/p>\n

Resend their invite from this page. Once they accept, you can assign them to tasks<\/a> in your workflow.<\/p>\n

Who can be pre-assigned to tasks?<\/h2>\n

Pre-assigning<\/strong> means assigning someone to a task in the workflow template itself, so the assignment applies to every future workflow run.<\/p>\n

Admins<\/strong> and Builders<\/strong> can be pre-assigned to tasks on all plans.<\/p>\n

Users<\/strong> can be pre-assigned to tasks only on higher-tier plans. On other plans, attempting to pre-assign a User to a template task displays an upgrade prompt instead. Users can still be assigned to tasks on active<\/em> workflow runs regardless of plan.<\/p>\n

Guests<\/strong> cannot be pre-assigned to tasks in a workflow on any plan. Guests can only be assigned to tasks on active<\/em> workflow runs.<\/p>\n
