{"id":6269,"date":"2022-04-18T08:00:50","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T08:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/microsoft-teams-app\/"},"modified":"2026-08-03T16:29:06","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T16:29:06","slug":"microsoft-teams-app","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/microsoft-teams-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Teams App"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If your business uses <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/get-started-with-microsoft-teams-b98d533f-118e-4bae-bf44-3df2470c2b12#:~:text=Microsoft%20Teams%20is%20a%20collaboration,projects%2C%20or%20just%20for%20fun.\">Microsoft Teams<\/a>, then our Teams app gives you a shortcut to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/\">Process Street<\/a>, bringing your workflow runs, approvals and tasks directly to where you are working.<\/p>\n<p>This allows you to focus on all the work that\u2019s important to you.<\/p>\n<p>You can complete all the work you&#8217;re assigned to without needing to leave Teams!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Connect Process Street to Microsoft Teams now:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/appsource.microsoft.com\/product\/office\/WA200003933\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13510\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Group-626043-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"213\" height=\"44\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Users: All Process Street users can access the app if they are a member or an owner in Teams.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Work from Microsoft Teams<\/h2>\n<p>All of your Process Street notifications will appear in Teams.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13269\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/MS-Teams-app.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You will receive instant notifications in Teams when:<\/p>\n<ul>\n \\t<\/p>\n<li>A workflow run is assigned to you<\/li>\n<p> \\t<\/p>\n<li>A task is assigned to you<\/li>\n<p> \\t<\/p>\n<li>When someone @mentions you in a task comment<\/li>\n<p> \\t<\/p>\n<li>When a workflow run is due to be completed<\/li>\n<p> \\t<\/p>\n<li>When a task is due to be completed<\/li>\n<p> \\t<\/p>\n<li>An approval has been submitted to you<\/li>\n<p> \\t<\/p>\n<li>A task you submitted for approval has been approved or rejected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This means that you could turn off your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/email-notifications\/\">email notifications<\/a> from Process Street and focus entirely on what&#8217;s happening in Teams.<\/p>\n<h2>Using My Work in Teams<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13272\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/MS-Teams-Inbox.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clicking on any of the links in your notifications takes you to your <strong>My Work<\/strong> tab where you can complete form fields, tasks and approvals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> The instance of My Work inside Teams works slightly differently to the browser version, in that all your items are listed in one page.<\/p>\n<h2>Who can use the app?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Microsoft Teams users:\u00a0<\/strong>Owners or members in Teams can add personal apps, whereas guests in Teams cannot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Process Street users:<\/strong> All user roles in Process Street can access the bot as long as they are an owner or member in Teams.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/team-owner-member-and-guest-capabilities-in-teams-d03fdf5b-1a6e-48e4-8e07-b13e1350ec7b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">user roles in Microsoft Teams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>How to set up the app<\/h2>\n<p id=\"how-do-i-set-up-the-app\">If you are already logged into Teams you can access the app <a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/l\/app\/6910821c-1244-4a0b-9d64-f0fc396b8e7c\">via this link<\/a>, or head to <a href=\"https:\/\/appsource.microsoft.com\/product\/office\/WA200003933\">Microsoft App source<\/a>. Alternatively, follow these instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Access your personal apps\u00a0in Teams on the left of your screen by clicking the three dots shown below and search for &#8220;<strong>Process Street<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13053\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Teams-add-app.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Process Street to install the app.\u00a0Pin it to your sidebar (optional).<\/p>\n<p>In the chat tab, click \u201c<strong>Connect<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13054\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Teams-connect.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"75%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the modal that opens up, sign in to Process Street.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13217\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Teams-app-sign-in1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, authorize the app.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13215\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Teams-Brightstar-auth.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"50%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now you&#8217;re ready to start receiving notifications from Process Street! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h3>@Mentions<\/h3>\n<p>If you @mention colleagues from a task in a Process Street workflow run, they will need to have installed the Process Street app for Microsoft Teams to receive notifications from you.<\/p>\n<h2>Notification settings<\/h2>\n<p>If you want to stop notifications at any time type &#8220;<strong>disconnect<\/strong>&#8221; in the Process Street chat tab, or &#8220;<strong>connect<\/strong>&#8221; to start receiving notifications again.<\/p>\n<p>You can adjust how you see or hear <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/manage-notifications-in-teams-1cc31834-5fe5-412b-8edb-43fecc78413d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teams notifications<\/a> on desktop, iOS or Android by configuring your notifications in Teams.<\/p>\n<h2>Language<\/h2>\n<p>The Process Street Teams app is available in English.<\/p>\n<p>If English isn&#8217;t your first language, you can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/translate-a-message-in-teams-38fc7175-260a-49a4-99a9-526c6ceb13af\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">translate messages inside Teams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>By installing or using the Teams app you agree to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/privacy\/\">privacy policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>FAQ<\/h2>\n<p><em><strong>I have more than one organization, how can I sign in to the correct one?\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>First sign into the Process Street account you&#8217;d like to use in Teams, in a browser tab. Head to Teams and sign in. Check that the correct organization is showing on the authorization page, and you&#8217;re all set!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>If you <em>signed up<\/em> for a Process Street account via Google, you can change your Process Street password from your <a href=\"https:\/\/app.process.st\/users\/me\/manage\/profile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">personal profile area<\/a>.
