You can also send out these notifications to any stakeholders who want to keep up with the progress of the workflow run.<\/p>\n<p>For example, in your employee onboarding process, you can send out a custom notification to your new hire when you run the workflow, with a custom message welcoming them to your organization and introducing them to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/\">Process Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Users:<\/em><em> In order to add or edit Custom Notifications, you must be an Administrator or a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/what-is-a-full-member\/\">Builder<\/a> who has been given &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/permissions\/\">edit<\/a>&#8216; access by your Administrator.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16765\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/custom-notifications.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Creating custom notifications<\/h2>\n<p>To set up custom notifications, locate a workflow in your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/library\/\">Library<\/a>, go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/workflows\/\">workflow editor<\/a>, click the <strong>three-dot menu<\/strong> (\u22ef) in the top right corner, then click <strong>Custom notifications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Click the <strong>+ Add button<\/strong> to add a new notification. Select the user to whom you want to send the notification then select the timing when they should receive it, as shown below.<\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Add<\/strong> then click <strong>Save<\/strong> to save your changes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/custom-notifications-create-new.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Custom notifications are not sent to unverified email addresses. If you or your colleagues are unable to receive custom notifications, verify the email address being used with your Process Street account or contact our <a href=\"mailto:support@mail.process-street.com\">support<\/a> team.<\/p>\n<h3>Sending custom notifications to dynamic assignees<\/h3>\n<p>You can select any dynamic assignees from the workflow run like the workflow runner, or a user from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/form-fields\/#email-field\">email field<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/form-fields\/#members-field\">user field<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can also select stakeholders who may be interested in staying updated with the work progress, even if they are not assigned to any tasks or the workflow run.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, create a new custom notification then use the search bar under <strong>Send to<\/strong> and look for the person who should receive the notification. <strong>Select the timing<\/strong> when they should receive it then click <strong>Add<\/strong> and <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16769\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/custom-notifications-individual-user.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Adding a custom note<\/h3>\n<p>You can add a custom note to make your notification more personal or to provide additional context about the tasks to your users.<\/p>\n<p>First, create your custom notification then click on the note icon next to the notification. Type your custom message here, including variables, and <strong>Save<\/strong> your note then <strong>Save<\/strong> the changes made to your notifications.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16770\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/custom-notifications-note.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Sending custom notifications to multiple users<\/h3>\n<p>You can add multiple recipients for your custom notifications, even if they are not assigned to tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Create a new custom notification and click Send to add multiple users, as shown below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16771\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/custom-notifications-multiple-users.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Sending custom notifications to groups<\/h3>\n<p>If your organization has <strong>Approval Workflows<\/strong> enabled, you can select <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/docs\/groups\/\">groups<\/a> as notification recipients. All members of the selected group receive the notification.<\/p>\n<p>To send a notification to a group, create a new custom notification and use the <strong>Send to<\/strong> search bar. Groups appear under a separate <strong>Groups<\/strong> section in the recipient list. Select the group, choose the timing, then click <strong>Add<\/strong> and <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Deleting custom notifications<\/h3>\n<p>To delete a custom notification, click the <strong>delete icon<\/strong> next to it then click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16772\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/custom-notifications-delete.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you delete the custom notifications, you can choose to publish your changes to your active workflow runs or only the new ones.<\/p>\n<h3>Editing custom notifications<\/h3>\n<p>Open the <strong>Custom notifications<\/strong> panel (three-dot menu \u2192 <strong>Custom notifications<\/strong>) and click on the recipients to add or edit them.
