Process Street<\/a> uses Snowflake<\/a> to power our BI integrations<\/a>. Snowflake is a cloud-based database that allows businesses to store, manage, and analyze data. With its advanced data-sharing capabilities, Snowflake enables organizations to share and collaborate on data with partners and customers.<\/p>\n

By connecting Snowflake to Power BI Desktop<\/a>, you can leverage the strengths of both platforms to enhance your data analytics and business intelligence capabilities, leading to more informed strategic decisions.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> This feature is only available in our Enterprise<\/a>\u00a0plan. Please reach out to your\u00a0Customer Success Manager or our support<\/a> team if you\u2019re interested in accessing it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Setup your accounts<\/h3>\n

To connect to Power BI Desktop, you also need the Snowflake account URL and the necessary credentials (username and password). These will be provided your Process Street account representative.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: If you don’t already have your Snowflake account’s username and password, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our support<\/a> team.<\/em><\/p>\n

Connect Snowflake to Power BI Desktop<\/h3>\n

In Power BI Desktop, click Home<\/strong> and select Get Data.<\/strong> From the categories on the left, click Database,<\/strong> then select Snowflake<\/strong>, and then select\u00a0Connect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0Snowflake<\/strong> window that appears, enter the Server<\/strong> and the Warehouse<\/strong>, then click OK.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Server is always XXX.snowflakecomputing.com<\/strong> where XXX is specific to your account in Process Street. You can get this URL from your Customer Success Manager or Account Executive.<\/p>\n

The Warehouse is always COMPUTE_WH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Next, sign in to your Snowflake computing warehouse, by entering your username and password, and then select Connect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In your Snowflake account, go to Navigator<\/strong>, and select one or multiple elements to import and use in Power BI Desktop. Then select either Load<\/strong>\u00a0to load the table in Power BI Desktop, or\u00a0Transform Data<\/strong> to open the Power Query Editor where you can filter and refine the data set you want to use, and then load that refined data set into Power BI Desktop.<\/p>\n

Select\u00a0Import<\/strong>\u00a0to import data directly into Power BI, or select\u00a0DirectQuery<\/strong><\/a>, then select\u00a0OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
