Perform echocardiography if indicated

Review Chest X-Ray results

Conduct consultation with a cardiologist if required

Decide on the need for preoperative medical therapy

Establish a plan for postoperative cardiac care

Approval: Cardiologist for the preoperative cardiac risk assessment

Inform the patient and the surgical team about the risks and the plan

Document the preoperative cardiac risk assessment

Schedule the surgery if all parameters are acceptable

Initiate necessary preoperative therapies
