This means any Operatory they are scheduled into on any day needs to be selected. If we are not creating individual Hygiene profiles, all Hygiene chairs must also be selected. If it is unknown how to do this, you can set&nbsp;it as follows:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From the&nbsp;<strong>Maintenance<\/strong>&nbsp;menu in the&nbsp;<u>Office Manager<\/u>, point to&nbsp;<strong>Practice Setup<\/strong>, and then click &nbsp;<strong>Practice Resource Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a class=\"text-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Select the Provider you are wanting to add to LocalMed and click Edit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">If a new provider to your practice you must click&nbsp;<strong>New&nbsp;<\/strong>to create them in your system before they can be added to LocalMed.<\/p>\n<p>The Provider Information dialog box appears.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"provider-hours\">\n<h2> Provider Hours <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Now that you know the ID of the Provider and&nbsp;Operatories are selected, open up their schedule as follows to ensure it is accurate:<\/p>\n<p>1. &nbsp;In the<strong>&nbsp;Setup&nbsp;<\/strong>menu in the&nbsp;<u>Appointment Book<\/u><strong>,<\/strong>&nbsp;click&nbsp;<strong>Provider Setup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Provider Setup dialog box appears.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a class=\"text-content\">\n<p>2. &nbsp;&nbsp;Select the provider you want to set a schedule for.<\/p>\n<p>3. &nbsp;&nbsp;Click&nbsp;<strong>Setup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Provider Setup dialog box appears.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/iyACR19Lmi1GCob7rrFJjg.png\" alt=\"Provider \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>4. &nbsp;&nbsp;Select the days of the week the provider usually works.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Dentrix defaults to Monday through Friday.<\/p>\n<p>5. &nbsp;&nbsp;Set the working hours for each selected day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a. &nbsp;&nbsp;Click the&nbsp;<strong>search<\/strong>&nbsp;button to the right of the day.<\/p>\n<p>The Set Time Limits dialog box appears.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">b. &nbsp;&nbsp;To change the time range for a time block, click the Start Time or End Time&nbsp;<strong>search<\/strong>&nbsp;button of the time block you want to change.<\/p>\n<p>The Select Time dialog box appears.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">c. &nbsp;&nbsp;To change the time in intervals of 10 minutes, click the left arrow to decrease or the right arrow to increase the time. Or, drag the slider to the left or right.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">d. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>&nbsp;when you are finished.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">e. &nbsp;&nbsp;Repeat steps b through d for all other start and end times.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">f. &nbsp;&nbsp;Repeat steps a through f for all other workdays.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"appointment-types-to-offer\">\n<h2> Appointment Types to offer <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>We will need a list of Appointment Types the Office would like to schedule and the times lengths each will need to be scheduled for.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our standard set of appointment types we setup for each office are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New Patient Cleanings (Adult and Child)<\/li>\n<li>Returning Patient Cleaning (Adult and Child)<\/li>\n<li>Emergency\/Tooth Pain (New and Returning)<\/li>\n<li>Consultation (New and Returning)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"multicodes-for-appointment-types\">\n<h2> Multi-codes for Appointment Types <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Once you know what Appointment Types you need to Setup, you will need to make sure a Multi-code in Dentrix has the appropriate time length set&nbsp;for that Appointment Type. If you are unsure how to&nbsp;do this,&nbsp;follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Maintenance<\/strong>&nbsp;menu in the Office Manager, point to&nbsp;<strong>Practice Setup<\/strong>, and then click&nbsp;<strong>Multi-Code Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/uwcUEwcxP1vgKRxV66xPlQ.png\" alt=\"Multi-codes for Appointment Types\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/uwcUEwcxP1vgKRxV66xPlQ.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Update the&nbsp;<strong>Procedure Time<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong><\/strong>to the proper amount of units needed<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. Click&nbsp;<strong>Ok&nbsp;<\/strong>and Save Changes<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"operatory-hours\">\n<h2> Operatory Hours <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Similar to <u>Provider Hours<\/u>, you need to make sure the hours for each <strong>Operatory<\/strong> are set.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To set up an operatory<\/p>\n<p>1.<strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>In the&nbsp;<strong>Setup<\/strong>&nbsp;menu in the&nbsp;Appointment Book<strong>,<\/strong>&nbsp;click&nbsp;<strong>Operatory Setup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The&nbsp;Operatory Setup&nbsp;dialog box appears.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/jYjyO4ttkeK2ikDAq95MAg.png\" alt=\"Operatory Hours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/jYjyO4ttkeK2ikDAq95MAg.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Select the operatory that you want to set up, and then click&nbsp;Setup.<\/p>\n<p><em>The&nbsp;Operatory Setup [Operatory Name]&nbsp;dialog box appears.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/m38wxxqOCXf0bnqHM8ZFbQ.png\" alt=\"Operatory Hours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/m38wxxqOCXf0bnqHM8ZFbQ.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Do one or more of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To close an operatory, clear the check box next to the appropriate weekday.<\/li>\n<li>To change an operatory's hours from the default, click the search button next to the appropriate weekday and the&nbsp;<strong>Set Time Limits<\/strong>&nbsp;dialog box appears.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/gsWZ-PEKPTsLJMW5rYZK8A.png\" alt=\"Operatory Hours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/gsWZ-PEKPTsLJMW5rYZK8A.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Do one of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Type new start and end times.<\/li>\n<li>Click the search buttons and select the appropriate times from the&nbsp;Select Time&nbsp;dialog box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;Click&nbsp;OK.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"schedule-rules\">\n<h2> Schedule Rules <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>The last step in the LocalMed process is to give us the local schedule rules for the Office.<\/p>\n<p>This includes but is not limited to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Which Operatory each&nbsp;Appointment Type (Step 4) can be scheduled into<\/li>\n<li>Which Appointment Type a specific provider (Step 1) can be scheduled for<\/li>\n<li>Insurance the Practice does not want to allow scheduling for Online<\/li>\n<li>Days or times appointments should not be scheduled online<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>List Providers for Scheduling For each office&nbsp;we need to know the name of the Profile or Profiles you want to display for patients to schedule and their corresponding Dentrix ID.
