Teams need to do a certain amount of upkeep between sprints<\/strong>, and that's what this checklist is for. To make sure you aren't missing any issues<\/strong> you kicked out of the last sprint, or any bugs that cropped up mid-sprint, run this checklist at the end of every sprint period.<\/p>\n

To make it easier for yourself, tag issues in JIRA<\/strong> as suggested in this process. Tagging issues "Issues for Next Sprint", "Recently Created Unresolved Bugs", etc, helps you quickly filter the issues so you can see only the vital one<\/strong>s.<\/p>\n

This process is linked to another one you can use if you need to, the Sprint Estimation Process<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Click the "Complete sprint" button in JIRA <\/h2>\n
\n

Mark the sprint as complete is JIRA by clicking the arrow next to the Agile<\/strong> button. Click Work<\/strong>, then choose Complete Sprint<\/strong> next to the name of the sprint you want to complete.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Review the "Issues for Next Sprint" JIRA search <\/h2>\n
\n

Make sure you have been tagging any issues that were kicked out of the last sprint so you can easily find them next time with a JIRA search.<\/p>\n

Anything that absolutely should be in the sprint needs to be marked "Ready for Engineering" so that it'll show up in the Agile Poker tool.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Review the "Recently created unresolved bugs" JIRA search <\/h2>\n
\n

Make sure that any bugs that are critical are marked "Ready for Engineering" to make sure they get into the next sprint.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Estimate all issues for new sprint in the Agile Poker tool <\/h2>\n
