Then put a <strong>small amount of soap<\/strong> onto the sponge and <strong>dip in warm water<\/strong>, <strong>squeezing the majority out again<\/strong>. Now proceed to <strong>wipe \/ scrub away any stains, food or grease<\/strong>, reapplying the soap and re-wetting the sponge as necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rinse out your sponge<\/strong> until the water coming out of it is clear and clean, and proceed to <strong>wipe away the soap and grime<\/strong> on the stove top. Rinse the sponge as often as necessary to <strong>remove all but water from the stove top<\/strong>. <strong>Buff with a kitchen towel<\/strong> and use a <strong>scourer<\/strong> to scrub clean the grates and knobs. <strong>Dry off the components<\/strong> and place back on the stove.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style-info\">An <strong>electric stove requires much&nbsp;the same treatment<\/strong>, with warm soapy water to scrub off grime, a clean sponge to wipe down, and then drying it off.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"clean-overhead-components\">\n<h2>Clean overhead components<\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>If a <strong>kitchen exhaust fan<\/strong> is present you need to <strong>clean both the mesh filter and the fan itself<\/strong>. To do this, first ensure that the <strong>fan is unplugged or<\/strong> the circuit in the breaker box which controls the fan is<strong> switched off<\/strong>. Next <strong>remove the mesh filters<\/strong> and pour boiling water over them. <strong>Scrub with a warm, soapy solution<\/strong> and leave to dry after rinsing out all residue.<\/p>\n<p>Now mix 1 quart of warm water with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1\/4 cup of ammonia. Use this to <strong>scrub the fan housing and blades, drying each segment as you go<\/strong>. Tougher patches may require all-purpose cleaner and <strong>rust can be removed by applying WD40<\/strong>, leaving for an hour, then rinsing.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure <strong>clear drains<\/strong>, either use some<strong> drain unblocker<\/strong> or mix 1 cup of baking soda, 1 cup of salt and 1\/4 cup cream of tartar. Then apply warm water and buff with two separate microfiber cloths.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"clean-the-toilet\">\n<h2>Clean the toilet<\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>The <strong>exterior<\/strong> should be cleaned with <strong>warm, soapy water<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>toilet bowl<\/strong> can be cleaned by applying&nbsp;<strong>bleach<\/strong> (ensure the room is well ventilated) around the <strong>underneath<\/strong> of<strong> the rim<\/strong>. Leave it to <strong>soak for 15 minutes<\/strong>, then rinse off, dry and replace. Use a toothpick to get into the crevices in the shower hose and controlling unit (e.g: the plastic casing or taps).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baths<\/strong> are to be cleaned with a <strong>half-water, half-white vinegar solution<\/strong> sprayed over the entire surface. <strong>Leave it to stand for 15 minutes<\/strong>, then wipe away with a sponge, rinse with water and wipe again with a clean cloth.<\/p>\n<p>If <strong>tougher stains<\/strong> are present <strong>apply baking soda before praying with the vinegar solution<\/strong>, leave for a few minutes and then <strong>scrub until a paste forms<\/strong>. Then carry on with the previous method by leaving it for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"clean-any-shower-screens\">\n<h2>Clean any shower screens<\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>All <strong>shower screens<\/strong> can be cleaned by using a <strong>dedicated bathroom cleaner<\/strong> and a <strong>clean sponge<\/strong>. After this, <strong>rinse the screen<\/strong> and <strong>wipe down with a squeegee<\/strong>. If you need to <strong>buff the door<\/strong> (for example, if the glass is covered in watermarks), do so with a <strong>microfiber cloth<\/strong> and a <strong>solution of white vinegar and water<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shower curtains<\/strong> need to be taken off their rail and put in a <strong>washing machine with two bath towels<\/strong> (to prevent crinkling or damage).
