This might be the person who first made it, or the person who runs it regularly.<\/p>\n<p>Assign the task of reengineering to the right person, and use the 'Assignees' feature to assign the rest of the checklist tasks to that person.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"read-the-current-process-documents\">\n<h2> Read the current process documents <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Assuming the process is documented, now you need to refresh and familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of the process.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"create-a-process-map\">\n<h2> Create a process map <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/creating-a-process-map-from-scratch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">this process<\/a> to create a process map before moving onto the next task.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"draft-a-new-process-map-and-sop\">\n<h2> Draft a new process map and SOP <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>After analyzing the process and mapping it, it should be clear where the areas of inefficiency are.<\/p>\n<p>Can part of it be automated? Is data being passed manually between departments? Are you still using paper?<\/p>\n<p>The idea of BPR isn't just to slightly tweak a bad process like you would do when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/the-process-for-optimizing-a-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">optimizing<\/a>. If it's bad, it may need rebuilding from the ground up with no semblance of its original self.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"test-the-process\">\n<h2> Test the process <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>In line with Agile testing and workflow improvement, which share many similarities with&nbsp;BPR, now it's time to test the first draft of the process.
