This one is a little more complex than a accessory product page as a coffee is a variable product whereas an accessory is a simply product.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Firstly, you need to add the relevant information starting off with the product name which sits in the first box at the top of the page.<\/p>\n<p>A coffee product should always have the Country first, a hyphen and then the name of the coffee.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/oIjOEVJJ0aO053FQFhNHaw.png\" alt=\"Adding Information to Product Page: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/oIjOEVJJ0aO053FQFhNHaw.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>You then need to copy the coffee description from the Roasters page<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pL3JNKgzNPMiBGH6_AxAfg.png\" alt=\"Adding Information to Product Page: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/pL3JNKgzNPMiBGH6_AxAfg.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>And paste this into the large section beneath the coffee title.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/hijXm4Eajg9IjWrr7SNHLA.png\" alt=\"Adding Information to Product Page: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/hijXm4Eajg9IjWrr7SNHLA.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>After this has been done, scroll down and you'll see a 'Product Short Description' box. For the time being we will just use the tasting notes of the coffee.<\/p>\n<p>You will find the tasting notes either on the Roaster's page or in the description that you copied from their site.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/sFFsTxiFVStL8qJWIpZEiw.png\" alt=\"Adding Information to Product Page: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/sFFsTxiFVStL8qJWIpZEiw.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>You now have completed this section.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"creating-a-variable-product-coffee\">\n<h2> Creating a Variable Product: Coffee <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>A variable product is an adult product that has child products within it. Coffee is a variable product because not only do you have the main product, but you always have variants of that product. This is located on the left hand side within the Product Data section<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>As this is a variable product most of this section can be left alone. The Cost of Good is set against each child product and we don't manage stock for coffee so these can all be left blank.<\/p>\n<p>The only part that needs filling in is the SKU. The SKU will always be (for every product, accessory and coffee) the name of the brand\/roaster first and then the title of product and where you would usually leave a space, we replace this with a hyphen.<\/p>\n<p>As this is a coffee by Footprint Coffee Roasters and the coffee is &quot;Ethiopia - Santa Lucia&quot; the SKU will look like this:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/oslagFNvwmj9WxsT53FBeA.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/oslagFNvwmj9WxsT53FBeA.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>This section is now complete. Please navigate to the Shipping tab.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the Inventory section, most of the fields in Shipping can be left blank as these are areas that we cover when we add the variable products. The only part that needs filling in is the Shipping class category which is at the bottom of the Product Data field.<\/p>\n<p>Click on the drop down box and change the Shipping class from 'No Shipping Class' to 'Coffee'<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/jmLlz4GE3lq_Vr-dXsRMCg.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/jmLlz4GE3lq_Vr-dXsRMCg.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Now you need to navigate to the Attributes tab which is the second section down from the Shipping tab. By clicking on this you'll be shown a list of all attributes.<\/p>\n<p>Start off by selecting the Weight option and click 'add'. Once the weight attribute has appeared go back into the drop down menu and select the 'Grind Size' option and click 'add'. Your page should now look like this:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/mjZqKOd-FhqU4XUoeVhKFg.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/mjZqKOd-FhqU4XUoeVhKFg.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>It is important that these 2 attributes are selected in that order as this is how it will appear on the product page once the coffee is live on the site.<\/p>\n<p>Now that has been done you need to add the other attributes to this section. These can be added in whatever order you like as these are for customer information and not variations. The attributes that you need to add are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brewing Methods<\/li>\n<li>Country of Origin<\/li>\n<li>Decaf<\/li>\n<li>Flavours<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>Process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once these have been added you should be left with quite a long list of attributes. It should look something like this:<\/p>\n<p>(please note: I have zoomed the screen out so that you can see the list. To see your list of attributes you will need to scroll down)<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/v8cZk8ogupfk__uV5KdDTA.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/v8cZk8ogupfk__uV5KdDTA.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>For the Weight and Grind Size attributes you will need to untick the box where it says 'Visible on the product page' and select the 'Used for variations' box. All the other attributes can be left as they are.<\/p>\n<p>You now need to add the 'Values' for the weight you need to add the weights that the roasters sell their coffee in. Most of the time this will be 250g and 1kg bags but you will need to double check this either by contacting the roaster or checking on their site. To add the weights simply start to type them in the Values box and select the weight once it appears.<\/p>\n<p>For the grind sizes you will need to add Whole Bean, Coarse, Medium and Fine. Do this in the same format as mentioned above. You will also need to double check with our Roasters that they cover all grind sizes (not all of them do!)<\/p>\n<p>The Weight and Grind Size section is now complete and should look like this:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/hZS0GMgboxxIR6QMd6hIAQ.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/hZS0GMgboxxIR6QMd6hIAQ.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>For Brewing Methods you can simply press the 'Select all' button which sits underneath the Values box. If you can see a tag that says &nbsp;'Brew With&gt;14' please remove this one by clicking the small 'x' to the left of the tab.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/t5Ytk-cdyS5coWSeyhNN3g.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/t5Ytk-cdyS5coWSeyhNN3g.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>The Country Of Origin section will be where the coffee is from. In this case it's from Ethiopia so as I start to type this in a drop down box appears and I can select 'Ethiopia' from the list.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/sDzKydcGX-Md3MNY4gtIDA.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/sDzKydcGX-Md3MNY4gtIDA.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>If at any time you're adding something to the Value box which doesn't exist you can add it easily by hitting the 'Add New' button. This will create a new window where you need to add the new value. Once you have added the value hit 'ok' and it'll appear in the value box. You should only need to use this for the Country Of Origin, Flavours, Manufacturers and Process sections.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Next you need to say whether the coffee is Decaf or not. If you're unsure check on the Roasters site. This is a simple yes or no answer.<\/p>\n<p>Now you need to add the Flavours. This should be relatively easy if you have already found the flavours for the coffee when using it as the short product description. If you cannot find a flavour when typing it into the value box you'll need to add it as a new flavour by using the steps above. It should look something like this:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/szqgulUlT91g-iL2Z7dNfQ.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/szqgulUlT91g-iL2Z7dNfQ.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Adding the manufacturer is easy. In this case the Manufacturer is the Roasters name. Like mentioned before, if you're adding a new Roaster you may need to add them as a new value.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/klwwnaKZ-X6qn04XB0dD0w.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/klwwnaKZ-X6qn04XB0dD0w.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>The last attribute is the process. The majority of the processes should be listed within this attribute but there may be the odd one that hasn't yet been used. If this is the case then you'll need to add a new process following the system mentioned before.<\/p>\n<p>The 'process' is the way in which the coffee has been harvested. For example some coffee is Washed and other coffee has been Mountain Water Processed. In this case, the coffee that I'm adding now has been Co2 Decaffeinated, so I'll select that attribute from the drop down list.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/qulvi6BgTOp7QgshbexHig.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/qulvi6BgTOp7QgshbexHig.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Once all the attributes have been assigned values, you can then click the 'Save Attributes' button a the bottom. When it has been saved, navigate to the Variations tab located in the column on the left.<\/p>\n<p>Your page should now look like this:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"image-content\">\n<figure>\n   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/vGL5WkRaThmODbHuiR1A1A.png\" alt=\"Creating a Variable Product: Coffee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.process.st\/templates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/vGL5WkRaThmODbHuiR1A1A.png\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Click the drop down box that says 'Add Variations' and select the 'create variations from all attributes' option and press Go.<\/p>\n<p>You will have 2 pop up boxes appear one after the other. Within each of these variations you need to add a retail price, individual SKU and cost price. You will get the cost price from the roaster by emailing them and asking for an up to date price list, the retail price can be taken from their site and the SKU is copied from the 'Inventory' section but tweaked slightly for each variant.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>Click&nbsp;into the blank space at the end of the drop down box in the first variation. Make sure to change the SKU's for every variation by changing the grind sizes and then once you've done the 1kg products you'll need to move onto to the 250g products. This is the Roaster's page. To do this, you simply need to press the 'Make primary' button.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have done this, you'll see that the subcategory now has Primary written next to it and has been highlighted in a bold text.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"adding-an-image-for-a-coffee-product\">\n<h2> Adding an Image for a Coffee Product <\/h2>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>For coffee products we tend to only add the one image. If you would like to know how to add multiple images then please see the slide titled &quot;Adding Multiple Images to a Product&quot;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>To add an image to a product you'll need to find the image first.<\/p>\n<p>Head over to the roasters site, find the coffee that you're adding, right click the image and save it in a relevant folder.<\/p>\n<p>The image needs to be bigger than 500 x 500.
