Verify correct placement of the tracheostomy tube through end tidal CO2 confirmation

Secure the tracheostomy tube with sutures and dress the wound appropriately

Evaluate the patient's respiratory function post procedure

Provide appropriate aftercare instructions to the patient

Document the procedure details in the patient's medical record
