your first Ciellie Solar Site Survey!
The first image you will take is a "Picture of Measuring Tape at 8ft". Your first step is to take your measuring tape, lock it at 8ft, then take an image with your drone showing that it is at 8ft. Here is an example image below:
The next sequence of images you will take is a "200ft AGL 40 degree camera tilt Orbital Flight". In these sequence of images, you will fly to 200ft AGL and tilt your camera at a 40* angle with the house in the middle of the screen. Keep the house centered the entire orbit.
See an example of "200ft AGL 40 degree camera tilt Orbital Flight" here:
After this orbit, you should have taken 100 images.
The next image you will take is "200ft AGL 90 degree camera tilt Photo (1) for Map Notes". You will later utilize this image to create a map to show where the breaker, meter & attic access(es) are.
You will download this image to mark up where the breaker, meter & attic access(es) are. See an example below:
The next sequence of images you will take is a "60-100ft AGL 40 degree camera tilt Orbital Flight". In these sequence of images, you will fly to 60-100ft AGL and tilt your camera at a 40* angle with the house in the middle of the screen. Keep the house centered the entire orbit. The house should take up 75% of your screen. Sometimes this is lower than 60ft AGL & that's ok. Position the house in the middle of the screen, 40* camera tilt & 75% of your screen should be taken up by the house.
In this sequence of images, you will take images of each side of the roof as close as you are comfortable getting. This will allow us to check the quality of the roof. See an example of this sequence here: up-close roof quality inspection
In this image, "Front of house showing house # photo" you will simply take a photo of the address number. Please confirm that the image is not blurry.
In this sequence of images, you will walk all around the exterior of the house taking images of all angles.
See a full example here: Example of "contextual photos walking around the house"
Once you locate the electric meter (most commonly on the exterior of the home), take images of the surrounding wall.
See a full example here: Photos of entire wall of meter
In this image, "Close-up of Utility Meter" you want to make sure all numbers, letters & barcodes are legible.
See a full example here: Example of close up of meter
See example images of "Photos above & below Meter" here: Example images here
Similar to above. Just pull back 6' this time.
See example images here: Contextual photos of MSP
See example images here: Example of Pull back 3' from MSP
See the rest of the example images of "Photos of MSP, door open" here: Example Photos of MSP, door open
See the rest of the example images here: Photos of specification stickers
See more example photos here: Photos with dead-front cover removed showing wiring
Once you are done taking the Photos with dead-front cover removed showing wiring, replace the dead-front cover back on. Make sure you do not trigger any switches as you do this.
Replace the dead-front, then take images of the MSP with the door open & some with the door closed. See examples here: MSP with the dead-front Replaced
See rest of example photos for Attic Entrance/access photos here: Examples of Attic Entrance/access photos
See examples here: 360 degree photos inside attic (& video)
Take photos of showing the height, width & spacing of the rafters/truss. The photos MUST be showing the measuring tape clearly showing the measurement. This is crucial.
