Prospects WILL ghost. How you follow up will dictate how many meetings you book.
Followup needs to be:
1. Timely (meaning you do it within 1-3 days of the prospect ghosting)
2. Relevant (meaning you respond in a way that makes sense given the conversation up to that point in time)
The "Channel" column will remind you where the prospect is.
The "Stage" column will remind you where in the conversation you left off.
Follow Up Copy You Use Depends On The Stage:
Discovery Phase
Best things to say for FU during discovery phase is to send a funny "Where Are You" GIF. You can attach GIF's on Linkedin, Instagram, and Facebook
Good Fit Try To Book
During this phase, you can still use a GIF (that always works).
But another method is:
Hey (name), wanted to pick up our convo. Last we spoke, you told me you were struggling with _______ and were hoping to achieve ______. I have an idea that I know would help, if you're curious.
Calendar Link Sent & Pending
Here is a quick piece of copy you can use:
Hey (name), you asked me to send over a calendar link last time so you could book. I haven't seen your booking come through yet. Have you had the chance to take a peak?
Timing For Follow-Ups
As you can see in the above picture, your followup should be within 2-3 days of the previous message.
Larry McCulley was messaged on Oct 21, so the followup should be on Oct 23.
If he doesn't respond to that followup, you can followup AGAIN 2-3 days later, as shown in the example above as well.
Hail Mary Final Follow-Up
If a prospect ghosts on you after having a conversation, and ignores your repeated attempts to follow up, then you will want to just move on and not waste more time.
HOWEVER, it's worth sending one final message just to try to see if you can get the call booked.
Here's the copy (it's more aggressive since it's our final attempt):
Hey (name). The reason why I reached out to you is that we specifically help ________ achieve _________, without any of the hassle of ______. I thought it could be relevant to you since you're _________.
Here is a free training/asset that shows how you can ______. I know it'll help you _______.
Is this something you think you may need help with?
Remove From List
You are constantly adding new people into your list everyday, since new people respond to your messages every single day.
However, you CANNOT let your list get out of control. Once your tracking list exceeds 50 people, it will be overwhelming for you to follow up on, and you will just stop.
The best way to deal with this is to remove names from lists at the same rate as new names are being added, so it never grows too large.
The 3 Ways To Remove Names
1. You disqualified the prospect because during conversation, you realized they are a bad fit.
2. They ghost you and ignore all your follow up attempts
3. They successfully booked a meeting
