Free Text Order from A to Z

In order for you to successfully create a Shopping Cart in GLOBE there are some basic information you need to know before going into GLOBE:

• Name of goods or service
• Vendor
• Price
• Expected date for when the goods or service is needed
• Best: Offer from vendor including all of the above!

It could be either a pdf-version of an email or an official offer.

Enter the Shop

Enter Free text order module

• Product Type: Material or Service.
  Material is for tangible goods and Services are for eg. consultants in a project or a license for a year being billed every quarter.
• Description: Write the name of the goods or service you need
• Internal Note: This note only goes to Purchasing
• Product Category: Find the GL account to where in the budget the goods are to be posted.
• Quantity/Unit: Enter quantity and unittype.
  Examples of unittypes are PC (pieces) HR (Hours). Click the window to next to the line in GLOBE to see the options.
• Price/Currency: Enter price and currency
• Delivery Date: Enter delivery date
  Note; your manager need to approve the Shopping Cart before this date or the Shopping Cart will be automatically rejected by GLOBE

The system automatically uses the payment information from your department. If you are buying goods on behalf of another department please chage account info. Click:

• Details
• Accout Assignment

To add the preferred supplier, click:

• Details
• Sources of Supply/Service Agent
• Preferred Supplier

Use * before and after your serach string and do not serch for more than 5 letters

Click Search, choose supplier and click OK

Click Check to check if your order is OK or if it's missing data and see the info GLOBE gives you.

• Green: Everything is OK
• Yellow: Something could be done differently, but the order can be processed
• Red: Some data is missing before the order can be processed

If there is no red signals, click Next> to proceed

You are now (almost) ready to order, as soon as you have:

• Given the Shopping Cart that is easy to remember - for you!
• Marked if the Shopping Cart should be visible for your purchasing substitutes
• Enter a note to the approver/your manager (optional)

To finalise the order, click Order 🙂
