Introduction

This process is about getting all the relevant information from a document after we have scanned it and we will share it on Clio.

Save the File

Click on the File Menu on the upper left corner of the screen.

A drop down menu will appear. Click the Save As option.

Click the Reduce File Size box.

Navigate your way to the Client's Folder. (Dropbox > Clio > Client's Folder)

Click on the folder available.

Look for the "Court Order" folder since what we have here is a court order.

Change the document name following this format:( YYYY_MM_DD_CLIENT'S NAME-ORDER(Kind of trial) )

Remove all unnecessary characters. Hit the save button.

Go to Clio and Upload the File

Head on over to Clio.

Type in your Client's Name in the Search bar located on the upper right corner of your screen.

Go to the Documents section.

Click the "New" button. A drop down menu will appear.

Hit the Folder Upload.

Look for the "Court Order" folder, and click it to start upload.

Categorize the uploading folder as "Court Order" so it will be easy to find.

Tick the box so the person will be notified of the new folder.

Creating a Calendar Entry

Notice the different dates boxed.

Go to Clio

Proceed to the Calendar section.

Click the Add button on the upper right side of your screen.

Type in your client's last name first, followed by a hyphen and the type of case.

Put the date and time of the trial.

Enter the location.

Share this information with your client.

When you're done, click Create Calendar Entry.

Go back to the document.

As you can see there is another trial on June 20 at 1:30 PM. We'll make this as an extension to the previous Calendar Entry made.

Head back to Clio.

Click the Export button located on the upper right side of your screen.

Do the steps stated earlier.

Don't forget to share this information with your client.

You may or may not add a message or description regarding this entry.

Click Create Calendar Entry once done.
