Introduction:

This Process Street checklist was built to help project managers plan their meetings and make changes to existing processes in accordance with AS9100D for aerospace quality management.

The checklist walks you, step-by-step, through the entire process, and is supplemented with further information within each task to help build context. It also utilizes form fields to input all your necessary information to make sure that all bases are covered.

It’s also very easy to edit the template, so it can serve as a foundation to which you can build upon by making changes to the structure and/or content to make it your own.

Determine who should attend

Determine who should attend the meeting.

Make sure to include top management.

To help determine who should attend, answer the following questions:

This group should continue meeting as the “AS9100 Steering Team”.

Create an agenda:

Explain the implementation steps to the group

During the meeting, you should begin by outlining the implementation steps to the steering team.

Use the form field below to make note of the implementation steps.

Discuss steering team responsibilities

Next, in this meeting, you should discuss the overall responsibilities of the steering team.

Keep this more general because, in the next task, you’ll go into more detail on each individual’s responsibilities.

Use the form field below to take notes.

Assign tasks to individuals/teams

After you’ve discussed the steering team responsibilities, it’s time to assign individual tasks to all the team members.

When doing this, review all the responsibilities to ensure they are well dispersed, and not one individual has more work than the others.

You can also choose to assign teams to work on tasks instead of individuals if your team is large enough.

Use the form field below to make notes on the team members’ responsibilities.

For each of your teams, you should identify a team leader.

It works best to have a member of the steering team serve as a leader for each of the task group teams. It can provide better communication between the teams and the steering team throughout the project.

Determine resources required

Take some time to review your team’s tasks and determine what resources may be required to complete them.

To help get you started, answer the following questions:

[Conditional] Acquire the necessary resources

If you answered “Yes” to any of the questions in the previous task, take some time to look into acquiring the resources your team needs.

This should be done in a timely manner to allow your team to move forward with the changes as quickly and effectively as possible.
