04 – Podcast Lead Magnet

Why?

Each episode of the podcast has a corresponding checklist that listeners can download in exchange for an email address. This is a key strategy for us to turn podcast listeners into email subscribers.

What You Will Need

You will need access to

• the lead magnet template in the templates folder in Google Drive
• the lead magnet folder in Google Drive for the final product
• InDesign
• Google Drive installed on your machine and synced up (https://www.google.com/drive/download/)

If you do not have access to these resources, please contact Gin to request access.

Technical Considerations

This process is triggered by a zap when the host has finished the podcast interview and completed their process.

The content for this lead magnet should be in the comments section below.

The host of this particular podcast episode should have entered this information as part of their process.

If there is no comment below, please contact the Digital Producer.

Lead Magnet

Use the InDesign template from the Google Drive templates folder and make the checklist look pretty.

Be sure to follow the style guidelines given in the template.

Share your finished checklist with the Digital Producer in Slack for final approval.

There is an example of a finished lead magnet below.

Ad for Lead Magnet

Please also produce an ad for the lead magnet consisting of the top section of the lead magnet with the title moved up a little bit and the download button added.

This is what people actually click on in order to download the lead magnet.

We need to versions of this ad:

1. Desktop and tablet: 828px by 300px
2. Smartphone: 260px by 95px

The main difference being that the smart phone version will have no icon.

There are examples of the two ads below.

Once you're finished checklist has been approved by the Digital Producer, upload it as a PDF below.

You will know you are finished when your finished checklist has been approved and you have uploaded it as a PDF in the previous step.

Thank you. We really appreciate you.
