Feel free write the show notes directly into the draft post in the WP Elevation website.
This draft post should already have been created.
NB: If you write the show notes in your favourite writing software, then you will need to add them to the WP Elevation website as a draft post when you are finished.
Sections
The show notes should include the following sections in order:
The Elevator Pitch
A 1 to 2 sentence introduction designed to hook the reader in and get them to listen or watch the episode. This should include an introduction of our guest.
This is the elevator pitch for this particular episode. You have 15 seconds to convince me to tune in, make it good.
Show Notes
The show notes should be a 500 to 1000 word summary of the episode that gives the reader a good overview of what was covered.
Get In Touch
One sentence to tell the audience how to get in touch with the guest and thank them.
Links
Any relevant links mentioned during the episode should be entered as a bulleted list including the name of the link and the actual URL.
Call to Action
Each episode of the podcast will include a supplementary checklist that can be downloaded. A call to action to click the image and download the checklist needs to be included at the end of the show notes. The show notes should always finish by asking the audience to leave comments and feedback.
