API Integration

To automate your order imports from PayPal, you will need to setup IPN Integration. IPN Integration will create import buttons on the main shipping screen that will retrieve your orders from PayPal.

PayPal Setup

You will need to modify your PayPal settings for Instant Payment Notification (IPN) so that Ship My Orders can access your PayPal transaction data.

Log in to PayPal, go to Profile -> More Options.

On the More Options screen you will need to enable the notification URL and enter this value: http://www2.nrgsoft.com/paypal_/ipn-listener.php

Once this is done please email [email protected] and let us know that you enabled the Paypal IPN. You will need to provide us with the email address that your Paypal account is under, so we can finish the configuration on our end.

Note that any previous orders will NOT be accessible to Ship My Orders

Recommended Magento versions
The ShipMyOrders module for Magento works with Magento versions up to and including 1.9
Magento 2.x is currently under development and we will announce availability as soon as the new module is available.

Create the Magento API user

1.- Log in to your Magento account 
Follow the nested drop down menus in this order: System, Web Services, SOAP/XML-RPD-Users. Then, click Users. On the next screen, click the Add New User button.

2.- On this screen, fill in the fields as follows:

• User Name: User Name to be used for API login (e.g.: smo_api_user)
• First Name: First name of user
• Last Name: Last name of user
• Email: Email address for user
• API Key: API key to be used for API login
• This Account is: Active

3.- Click Save User.

4.- Go to the Roles menu by following the drop down menu in this order: System, Web Services, SOAP/XML-RPD-Roles. Click Roles. Then, click the Add New Role button, then enter a Role Name (e.g.: “SMO integration”).

5.- Go to the left navigation menu on the same screen and click Roll Resources. Change the Resource Access selection from Custom to All.

6.- Click the Save Role button.

7.- Next, map the User to the Role. Once again, navigate: System, Web Services, SOAP/XML-RPD-Users. Click Users, then click on the user you created (e.g.: smo_api_user).

8.- Click User Role (left navigation menu). Select the role you created (e.g.: SMO integration role).

9.- Click the Save User button.
