Use this checklist to make sure your SEO for Pinterest is on point!

You can also use this to make changes to your old posts.

Pin Keywords

The most important things you need to get your pins found are keywords. Remember that keywords are the phrases people type in to search for something.

Enter Your Keywords

Think about what someone would need to search for in order to find your content and enter them in the box below.

Make sure one of your keywords is used in your article title. It should be the most important one!

This will show on your pin when you have Rich Pins enabled. Make sure your website is verified and Rich Pins are on.

The meta description for your post should be different than your pin description, but still contain some of the same keywords.

You don't want to miss out on an opportunity to catch even more search phrases by using the exact same description in both places.

Create a Description

Now that you know what keywords you need, use them all to create a few sentences describing your article.

DON'T just leave it as the title of your blog post. You can add your title, but be sure to add an actual description as well.

You only have 500 characters to work with, so 2-3 sentences is fine. Leave room for hashtags!

Add Hashtags

Yes, hashtags are a thing on Pinterest now! keep your hashtag list short, around 3-5 is pretty good. A little more or less isn't too bad but don't go crazy with 30 like on Instagram. Make sure they fit with what your article is about.
