Connection to the server from places outside China may not be always available even though network condition is normal - the Great FireWall.

All Google services are blocked in China and need to seek 3rd party/Chinese equivalent services

All Firebase and Google Play Services related services, e.g.GTM API v5, cannot be used in China

Do the production and UAT servers have valid SSL certificates?

1. For UAT servers,
a. If hosting on GT servers, SSL certificate is included and taken care of.
b. If hosting at client's server, client need to install SSL certificate

2. For production servers, client need to purchase SSL certificates

Note: TLS 1.2 is a must for iOS 9

Does client need GT to install the SSL certificates?

Need to include cost of setting up server, certificates and testing.

Does the client has a domain name ready for backend?

What kind of deliverables are required?

Standard Documents:
The following are the standard documents needed for development.

1. API Spec (In case client responsible for the backend)
2. Data schema (In case client responsible for the backend)
3. Functional Specification
4. Technical Specification

If the client requires any of the above as a deliverable, we need to prepare for formatting and detailed instructions.

What is the estimate content size?

1. Are there any 3D models/Videos/large batch of images to be downloaded in the app?

Files that are too large (>1MB) will need to have better handling of download (e.g. when to download? Need to implement lazy loading?) and caching mechanism which will cost more man day.

2. Pagination is needed if list contains too many items.

When will the testing content be available?

Certain contents needed to be provided for design or development
e.g. It will be difficult to develop or testing if only a few products have images.

This will affect the testing schedule of the project

Some specific kind of content may be required due to requirement, but does not exist.

e.g. 3D interior edit function required, but the customer do not have 3D models.
e.g. Images from website with wrong sizes.

If content is not catered for the app, may need extra programming to display the contents.

Any specific brand/model of Android device to support?

a. This would affect the content update implementation method. A simple one should be suggested for a low frequency content update. If more frequent, will store less offline content
b. Content update frequency will also affect design and user flow (e.g. more frequent content updates will have suggestion function or filters)

2. Amount of data for each update
If large amount of data needs to be updated each time, might need to add loading screen in the app for each update

Verification process for signing up

Any SMS or email verification for sign up?
Verification will help reduce CS cases for lost passwords

Any Analytics service need to be installed?
