Recording Client Information to HubSpot

All client details must be integrated to HubSpot CRM. This will show the step by step process on how we can accurately add client information to the software.

Below are the access and details you need to complete the task.

Client details (can be sent via mail or xls form)

To start, log in to Hubspot. Remember that we have two different Dashboard in HubSpot, Marketing, and Sales. All client information should go to our Sales Pipeline thus, you have to make sure you are in the correct dashboard. To make sure that you are on the right page, you can check the upper left part of the dashboard to see if you are under the marketing or sales tab.

The upper left part of the page is a dropdown that will allow you to move from Marketing to Sales dashboards.

We can then to the "Companies" tab and click the "Add Company" button which you will find on the upper right side of the Sales Dashboard.

This button will open a pop-up screen where you have to put the client company's domain and company name. You can then save it by hitting 'create' button or 'create and add another' if you are adding multiple clients.

Once the company is created, you can then add the primary contact or contact details of the client in two ways.

You can either;

(1) Go to the "Contacts" tab and click "Add Contact" button, which you can also find on the upper right hand of the page. Similar to saving company information, once "Add Contact" button is clicked, it will open a pop-up screen where you will be asked to put in the client details.

Hitting 'create and save another' button after you enter client information, will allow you save the ones you entered and create another, which is helpful when you have multiple client details to input.

(2) You can also go to the Companies List by clicking the "Companies" tab in the dashboard. This will open up all the companies in our database and the ones that you have initially entered. You can then look for the company you are updating and go their company page.

You can open up the company page to update and attach the client's contact information, and you can do so by clicking the company name hyperlink.

You can then add the client details through the "Add Contact" button which you can find on the left panel of the company page.

If this is the first contact detail for this company, you will be asked to either create contact or find contact - which you can do if you have initially entered the contact details through contacts tab.

The objective of this task is to find competitors around California, Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington area. We can focus on companies that offer CRO and PPC as their main service.

You can start with the following sites and links;

You should be able to get almost all necessary details that we are looking for - the first part of the research which requires us to look for the following;

Business Name
Location
Website
Main Services Offered
Other relevant and necessary company information

You can browse by state to a specific city through the drop-down on the upper hand of the page. If you are using this site, make sure you are browsing through the list of companies in

If you opted to use this site, make sure you are browsing through the list of companies within our target locations and looking through the list of companies that offers PPC and/or CRO as their primary service. You can filter it through "Practice Ranking" tab.

You then need to put all necessary and helpful information into the sheet that was shared with you.

Few things you need to check before entering the information;

Company must have blog post (you can check this through their website)
Services relevance
If company is still active

After sorting out your list, you can then get the other half of the needed information using Follow Extension.

Once installed in Chrome, the extension button should show on the right hand of your browser, like so.

To get the details, you just need to open the competitor website then click the "Follow" button, it will open up a pop screen with the collected details of the company.
