The PERFECT Landing Page

The OBJECTIVE: The "Perfect Landing Page" is the one which performs the best. Performance is measured by conversion rate (Total opt-ins/actions DIVIDED BY Total Visitors)

The ONLY things that should ever be on this page, are only the elements that would INCREASE performance. Anything else should be removed.

This means no headers, logos, and unnecessary elements

GUIDELINES: A good "guidelines to shoot for is ANYTHING over 25% conversion rate.

THE COPY:

I recommend you spend 90% of your landing page creation time working on the COPY. The headline/tagline will be the 90% that determines whether or not your people take action or not.

On a blank Google Doc, flush out a minimum of +30 headline/sub-head combinations, and select from your best.

THE SOFTWARE:

We recommend Instapage: https://instapage.com
Why? Because we recommend it. We use it ourselves. We wouldn't recommend something for any OTHER reason than to make your life easier and your business more profitable. Use it.

MINIMALISTIC:

You are offering something for FREE... more stuff on the page does NOT mean more conversions. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Keep your pages simple, clean and minimal.

FORMAT FOR MOBILE:

Always remember to format for mobile devices!

SPLIT-TEST:

You'll never know what converts best until you test it. Always be split-testing!

The headline NEEDs to be the first thing that is seen. It needs to do the following:

• Get attention immediately
• Be big, bold, clear and easy to read
• Tell me WHY SPECIFICALLY I should "opt in."  What is the benefit? What is in it for me?

HEADLINE TEMPLATE EXAMPLES:

The X-Step Method to ________ without ______(common objection)_____

Discover How to __________ So You Can Finally __________________

How One ____(specific avatar)_____Went From _____ to _______ Without ____________

Your SUBHEAD is an additional line of copy...

This is designed to further move the reader along, give more information and drive up the desire to CLICK your CTA button.

There are FOUR essential requirements for your Call-to-Action Button:

1. Above the Fold

The button must be immediately seen when visiting the page so there is no need to scroll down to find it

2. Clear ACTION Color

The color of the button must POP or stand out and be a clear indicator that it is something to be clicked.

3. Action-Oriented Text

The Text on the button itself must be something that tells people WHAT to do. ex: Click Here to Reserve Your Seat

4. Two-Step Lightbox Process

The best-performing pages tend to have a two-step process. You click the CTA button, and a lightbox appears with the opt in form

The "lightbox" form is the POP-UP that is presented to the visitor AFTER they click on the CTA button. It should look similar to the example below.

And should include the following ingredients:

1. an animated GIF status bar
2. Headline that gives the CTA to submit email address
3. Pointing Finger or Arrow
4. Email form
5. CTA Button
6. Privacy Policy

When it comes to landing pages, we prefer simple landing pages with COOL backgrounds. These can be SCENIC (like the beach, ocean, etc). Or a branded photo of YOU. Or a pic something else entirely obviously.

It should be something pleasing to the eye, but NOT distracting. It's designed to drive focus towards the CTA... that is why pictures of people looking AT the CTA button/headline tend to perform better.

The footer is the very BOTTOM of your landing page, and should include the following:

1. Copyright Year
2. Company Name
3. Link to Privacy Policy
4. Terms & Conditions
5. Earnings Disclaimer (if necessary)

I have included links to our pages below, but that does NOT mean you should copy and paste. The right way would be to consult an attorney or connect with Attorney-Turned-Entrepreneur Bobby Klinck https://bobbyklinck.com/legal-templates/ to grab your forms
