Need to reference a specific workflow or workflow run by its unique ID? Two new variables — Workflow ID and Workflow Run ID — make that information available directly inside your workflows, no external tools required.
Until now, retrieving a workflow’s ID or a workflow run’s ID meant reaching for a Zapier Zap, a Power Automate Flow, or a direct API call. That extra step added complexity, especially when all you needed was a simple reference ID to pass along in an email, log in a form field, or send to an external system.
Now, Workflow ID and Workflow Run ID are available as built-in variables you can insert anywhere variables are supported — text widgets, email widgets, form field default values, integration links, and more.
{{ or click the variable insert button to open the variable picker. Both variables are available on all plans and work everywhere that existing workflow variables are supported.
For a full list of available variables, see the Variables help article.
