Solve common project management issues with the tasks feature

Managing and organizing collaborative work can be time-consuming, especially when leading a team and handling unplanned tasks.

Process Street’s new Tasks feature is designed to solve these common issues and make work easier.

Here’s how it helps:

Centralized task management

Problem: Teams often struggle to keep track of all their tasks, especially when team responsibilities are scattered across multiple tools and platforms. This leads to missed deadlines, incomplete tasks, and a lack of visibility into project progress.

Solution: The Tasks feature in Process Street offers a centralized location for managing all tasks.

Tasks that are not part of any workflow can be created and managed in your inbox (now called ‘My Work‘). You can also create and assign them to colleagues. This clever organization allows teams to stay organized, track their progress, and ensure no task is overlooked.

Flexible handling of unplanned tasks

Problem: Unplanned tasks often come up that need immediate attention. Without a flexible system, these tasks can be forgotten or mismanaged, causing delays and reduced productivity.

Solution: The Tasks feature allows users to create ad-hoc tasks that can be attached to ongoing workflows. These tasks can be completed on the fly and don’t need to be built into the workflow template. You can make these tasks required, so the workflow run can only be completed once they are done. Because of that, all urgent tasks are captured and handled promptly, keeping workflows efficient.

Enhanced compliance and documentation

Problem: For industries with strict regulatory requirements, it’s important to document and complete all tasks according to guidelines. Failing to do so can lead to compliance issues and legal problems.

Solution: The Tasks feature in Process Street ensures compliance by allowing tasks to be attached to workflow runs, with mandatory completion before moving on. These ‘attached tasks’ will also appear in the newly redesigned print/PDF export, which is important for auditing and compliance. This ensures thorough documentation and accountability, helping teams meet regulatory requirements easily.

Efficient multi-tool management

Problem: Teams often use multiple apps for different aspects of task management, leading to inefficiency and a higher risk of missing important deadlines or details. This fragmented approach can confuse, reduce productivity, or even result in failure to meet objectives.

Solution: By consolidating task management into Process Street, the tasks feature eliminates the need for multiple apps. Teams can improve outcomes by creating and managing all their tasks inside Process Street, without using multiple apps..

Improved task structuring and clarity

Problem: Complex projects need well-structured tasks and clear instructions. Without this, teams may become confused and miscommunicate, which then leads to errors and delays.

Solution: The Tasks feature allows for creating detailed task descriptions, subtasks, and the inclusion of rich text and links. This provides clarity and ensures that all team members understand their responsibilities and the steps needed to complete their tasks.

Accurate scheduling and deadline management

Problem: Scheduling tasks without considering specific working days can lead to conflicts and missed deadlines, disrupting the workflow and project timelines.

Solution: The new tasks feature lets you set due dates for weekdays only, so teams can match tasks with their work schedules. This helps with accurate planning and avoids conflicts and missed deadlines.
