SaaS — the great equalizer.

Thanks to SaaS (software-as-a-service) countless businesses of all sizes have moved to cloud-based apps to solve everyday problems in ways only available before to big companies willing to shell out thousands for software licenses. Smart startups can harness the power and efficiency of larger teams by cutting out the robotic admin work from their processes and zeroing in on what really matters — generating leads, closing deals and keeping customers happy.

I have no problem with your list other than you are listing the top selling CRMs but not necessarily the best performing CRMs for specific industries. Understand that I am biased to some degree because I work for a CRM company but I am trying to be as objective as possible here. Most of the CRM’s you list try to create features needed for every industry in the world (probably even underwater basket weaving). Therefore, they are so bulky and require so many fields and multiple windows to be opened that they waste a significant amount of time and effort for most users. Our CRM was created for the insurance industry so where one page in needed to add a new customer in Cloudia Assistant, you will need to go through 2-3 pages on products like Salesforce or Velocify. Our drip marketing system is included in our $29.99 program and is more powerful than Salesforce’s and you would pay about $300 per person for their enterprise version to accomplish the same thing.

The issue is: Simple users like insurance agents, who only want to track their clients and send them emails every now and then are spending tons of time trying to learn, implement and utilize Salesforce-ish products because writers like you keep saying they are the best solution for them. Not only is that totally inaccurate, it is irresponsible because although you may be young and fairly inexperience as oppose to other long time users, the people still believe you.

I am not expecting you to retract anything you’ve said, nor do I think your observations are ill-conceived but why don’t you write another article for small business letting them know there are products available for their industry, which removes the bloat of these larger CRMs, can save them time, money and energy being focused on their industry and catering to the items they need without required fields or pages targeted to other industries?

We sell a tool for integrating Outlook (and lotus notes) with Salesforce, and I can tell you that email integration for your CRM will ABSOLUTELY save you time and effort every day….which means you have more time for “revenue generating” activities.

Cloudiaassistant sounds like a good program. I went over to their site and was NOT able to see anything about the actual program from looking at the site. All I saw was some text trying to drive me to either get a free trial or submit my information so I could be “sold.” This is lame. I hate it when sites do this. If your program is good – show us! Screenshots, videos, transparent pricing.

We have been using http://www.onepagecrm.com for a little while now. Simple, cheap, works. The website showed me what the program looks like and how it works, so I tried it. I liked it and yes, it plays nice with Zapier, so I use that too. Working with Zapier is a requirement nowadays. And no, I have no affiliation with OnePageCRM other than paying them every month to be a customer. It is just a good service. And yes, I own an insurance agency.

Please don’t take me wrong, I am not saying anything bad about Cloudia other than that their website sucks because it provides nothing but marketing fluff. Because of that, I will never know if it is any good. If you have a good product – SHOW US!
