You can archive templates to remove them from your dashboard without deleting them forever.
You can always view or unarchive your archived templates later, so don’t worry about losing them.
Users: In order to archive templates, you must be an Administrator or a Member who has been given ‘can edit’ permission by your Administrator.
How to archive templates
To archive a template, you first need to open the template’s menu. Do this by navigating to the template in your template dashboard, then clicking on the three dots next to its name.
The template’s menu will open on the right-hand side of the screen. Next click “More options” then click “Archive this template”.
Once you have archived the template, you’ll see two buttons in the top of the right hand menu – one to unarchive it and one to delete it permanently.
Note: Archiving a template will also archive all of the active checklists associated with it.
How to unarchive a template
Users: In order to restore archived templates, you must be an Administrator.
If you or another user has accidentally archived a template and you would like to get it back, you can unarchive it in just a few clicks.
If you have literally just archived it, you can unarchive by using the “Unarchive template” button shown in the right-hand menu in the example above.
If you aren’t sure when a template was archived, you can search for it in your organization activity feed. Click your profile picture in the upper right corner of your screen, click “Settings” and then navigate to your “Activity” tab.
Search for the activity log where your template was archived and you’ll see a blue link for “template” in the activity log (you may need to load more activity entries at the bottom of the page, if the template was archived some time ago).
Click the blue “template” link to open up the template menu. In the right-hand menu at the top, click “Unarchive template”.
