You can archive templates to remove them from your dashboard without deleting them forever. This is a great way to either tidy up your dashboard a little or to just make room for another template if you’re on our free plan (archived templates don’t count towards your five template limit).
You can always view or unarchive your archived templates later, so don’t worry about losing them.
Users: In order to archive templates, you must be an Administrator or a Member who has been given ‘can edit’ permission by your Administrator.
How to archive Templates
To archive a template, you first need to open the template’s menu. Do this by navigating to the template in your dashboard view, then clicking on the cog next to its name.
The template’s menu will open on the right-hand side of the screen. Next click “More options” then click “Archive this template”.
Once you have archived the template, you’ll see two buttons in the top of the right hand menu – one to unarchive it and one to delete it permanently.
Note: Archiving a template will also archive all of the checklists associated with it.
How to unarchive a Template
If you or another user has accidentally archived a template and you would like to get it back, you can unarchive it in just a few clicks.
To unarchive a template, you first need to click on your organization name in the top right corner of your screen.
Click on the “Activity” tab and search for the activity log where it was archived. You’ll see a blue link for the template in the activity log.
Click the link to open up the template menu. Click “Unarchive template” at the top of the menu on the right hand side.
